- Span or reach limitations
- Lifting height and clearance
- Mounting surface (floor, wall, or structure)
- Facility layout and obstruction zones
Incomplete or incorrect inputs can result in unsafe system selection.
Compliance and Safety Considerations
All lifting systems must be evaluated against:
- OSHA requirements
- ANSI standards
- Facility-specific safety policies
System suitability cannot be confirmed without defined operating conditions.
When Lifting Systems Are Not the Correct Solution
Lifting systems are not appropriate when:
- Material flow requires continuous movement across large distances
- Facility relies on automated conveyor or AS/RS systems
- Load handling exceeds light-to-medium duty operational ranges
- Structural mounting conditions are unknown or unverified
