Freight Shipping & Delivery Terms for Industrial Lifting Systems

This page defines the delivery model, responsibilities, and constraints for all lifting systems supplied through KG Lifting Systems. These terms must be understood before submitting a request for quotation.

Important: All lifting systems are shipped via freight carriers (LTL or FTL). Delivery is not equivalent to installation or placement. The customer is responsible for unloading, site readiness, and final positioning of all equipment.

Freight Delivery Model

All orders are shipped using commercial freight carriers. Delivery terms apply to industrial equipment only and are not comparable to parcel shipping.

  • Freight method: LTL (Less-than-Truckload) or FTL (Full Truckload)
  • Delivery type: Curbside or dock delivery only
  • No installation or assembly services are included
  • Carrier selection is based on shipment size, weight, and destination

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is responsible for unloading the lifting system?

The customer is fully responsible for unloading all freight shipments. Most lifting systems require a forklift or appropriate lifting equipment. The freight carrier does not provide unloading services beyond the truck.

Does delivery include installation or assembly?

No. Delivery includes transportation to the site only. Installation, assembly, rigging, and system setup are not included unless explicitly stated in the quotation.

What happens if I don’t have a loading dock?

If no loading dock is available, liftgate service must be requested before shipment. Liftgate availability depends on shipment size and weight and may not be suitable for all lifting systems. Failure to request liftgate service in advance may result in failed delivery.

Can the driver help unload or move the equipment?

No. Freight drivers are not responsible for unloading, positioning, or moving equipment beyond the truck. All on-site handling must be arranged by the customer.
